Suddenly, out of the blue, early in August 2009 I suffered severe back pain which continued down my right leg. A visit to the GP confirmed that it was sciatica. Due to the severity of the pain he said that it was unlikely that I could stand any form of treatment such as physiotherapy or osteopathy and diagnosed pain killers and rest. I was horrified when he told me that it could be months before I was free of pain. At the time I could hardly move and couldn’t get comfortable either sitting in the chair or lying down. My husband was given Alaine’s details by someone with a similar problem. We did the usual research on the internet and found that the McTimoney Chiropractic procedure is a very gentle treatment. I decided to give it a try and could feel the improvement within a few days of the first treatment. My regret is that I didn’t book an appointment sooner! I have already suggested that some of my friends visit Alaine and I know that one of them at least has already had great benefit after suffering with back pain for years.

Whilst the treatment is still ongoing, I feel almost completely cured of what was the most difficult pain I have ever had to deal with.
